Family Support
FareShare Kent shipped over 431 tonnes of good quality surplus food with a retail value of £770,892 to 199 charities & community organisations in the county. This food has allowed them to provide over 1,026,190 Meals to their beneficiaries.
Community Engagement
The Children and Families Group have been successful in securing funding to develop new and existing services across the county. So many thanks to Kent Community Foundation, NatWest, TSB, Queenborough Fishery Trust, Local Councils, Children in Need, The National Lottery & Asda.
FareShare Kent also supported 36 volunteers from HMP Standford Hill, in learning new skills and supporting them back into society & employment. Skills and qualifications included: Forklift License, Fire Warden, First Aid Training, Health & Safety Level 2, COSHH, Food Hygiene Level 2.
In total 119 volunteers have supported FareShare Kent & The Family Food Bank giving 24,825 hours of support.

We are also pleased to announce that FareShare Kent and The Family Food Bank Won the Swale Community Champions Award at the Swale Volunteer Awards in February 2020!
In total 21 volunteers have supported Seashells giving 1,150 hours of support. This years volunteers have undertaken many courses including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Prevent/Radicalisation Training.
