Family Support
FareShare Kent has shipped over 314 tonnes of good quality surplus food and to 140 charities & community organisations in the county. This food has allowed them to provide over 747,600 Meals to their beneficiaries.
Community Engagement
The Children and Families Group have been successful in securing funding to develop new and existing services across the county. So many thanks to Children in Need, Kent Community Foundation, NatWest, The National Lottery & Asda.
FareShare Kent also supported 40 volunteers from HMP Standford Hill, who gained 40 qualifications and 14 found employment. Qualifications included: Forklift License, Fire Warden Training, First Aid Training, Health & Safety Level 2, COSHH, and Food Hygiene Level 2.
In total 90 volunteers have supported FareShare Kent & The Family Food Bank giving 36,894 hours of support.

In total 23 volunteers have supported Seashells giving 1,050 hours of support. This years volunteers have undertaken many courses including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Prevent/Radicalisation Training.
We have supported 6 volunteers back to work; 2 completed the Level 2 Early Educator Qualification; and 4 completed the Level 3 Early Educator Qualification.
