Our early education & childcare operations have supported 501 children in 2016/17

Seashells Nursery was inspected by Ofsted in December 2016 securing judgements of 'Good' in all areas.
All other Ofsted registered settings also remain 'Good' |

CrècheCare has supported 28 different organisations, providing 5,255 hours of support and cover.

Family Support
|
Family support is a key area of our work. This year we have supported over 8,850 family members.
This year at Seashells our annual footfall has seen over 53,900 service users accessing a variety of child and family services.

|
The Family Food Bank has given 2,736 food boxes to families in crisis across Kent.
These food boxes are equivalent to over 104,228 meals. |

FareShare Kent distributed 308 tonnes of good quality surplus food to 116 charities & community organisations in the county. This food has allowed them to provide over 733,333 Meals to their beneficiaries.
Community Engagement

FareShare Kent was named KM Charity of the Year 2016.
FareShare Kent also supported 40 volunteers from HMP Standford Hill, who gained 80 qualifications and 16 found employment. Qualifications included: Forklift License, Fire Warden Training, First Aid Training, Health & Safety Level 2, COSHH, Food Hygiene Level 2. In total 70 volunteers have supported FareShare Kent giving 41,300 hours of support. |

Seashells was selected as KM Charity of the Year for 2017.
In total 27 volunteers have supported Seashells giving 2,157 hours of support. This years volunteers have undertaken over 50 courses including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Prevent/Radicalisation Training. We have supported 2 volunteers back to work; 5 completed the Level 2 Early Educator Qualification; and 4 completed the Level 3 Early Educator Qualification. |
